Forth Bridge Stevedoring Ltd own and operate a private port facility at East Ness Pier, Inverkeithing, on the north shore of the Firth of Forth. We specialise in handling the cargo of ships importing and exporting a variety of materials.

Situated directly off the main shipping lane, vessels are berthed at high tide, with pilotage from Forth Pilots. With the ability to take in ships with an overall length of up to 110 metres, the berth at East Ness Pier is ideally suited for NAABSA approved coasters and barges.

Based less than two miles from the Forth Road Bridge, East Ness Pier is perfectly positioned for quick and straight forward haulage throughout the northern half of the UK.

We primarily handle timber imported from Europe, Scandinavia and the Baltic States, which is stored in our secure 3.5 acre yard. Bulk cargoes such as stone chips, and logs are shipped through East Ness Pier utilising the 50 tonne weighbridge. The facility is also used for importing / exporting heavy machinery for the oil industry, providing a cheaper alternative to road haulage. An extensive range of plant is available to our clients, enabling us to handle a wide variety of cargoes.

Forth Bridge Stevedoring Ltd. prides itself on providing a friendly, efficient service and would be pleased to quote for work with any companies seeking a cost effective port facility on the east coast of Scotland.
